Born and raised in the Vietnamese capital city of Hanoi, Junior Sous Chef Hong started cooked when she was just six years’ old, learning different techniques and flavour combinations from both her mother and sister. The first dish she learnt how to perfect was steamed rice, a staple of Vietnamese cuisine and from there her love for cooking blossomed.
After she finished high school, Hong spent over two years at college learning how to be a chef and then worked for a decade in an Italian restaurant in Hanoi, before relocating to Hoi An in 2015. She worked at the Four Seasons Nam Hai hotel for three years, before moving to Anantara Hoi An Resort.
